Information Guide
Our hydro facial system is an innovative skin rejuvenation treatment that gently abrades the surface of the skin using jets of water and abrading tips. A controlled vacuum lifts off the dry, damaged cell layers, leaving behind smoother, more vibrant skin. It is painless and you can see immediate results.
With progressive treatments this exfoliation procedure can remove damage caused by age, the sun, and other environmental factors, leaving the skin looking years younger. With our 8-in-1 machine, we also include radio frequency skin tightening, skin scrubber dermaplaning, ultrasonic treatment, oxygen injection, and light therapy. Light chemical peels are also an option for customization.
Benefits of Radio Frequency:
Radio frequency skin tightening is the use of a machine that utilizes short waves of energy to heat up the dermal layer of your skin and cause the collagen structures of the skin to shrink. This shrinkage causes tightening of the treated facial tissues. As well, skin tightening treatment also has the benefit of causing the fibroblasts in your skin to go into repair mode. This repair mode encourages the body to form more collagen and elastin.
At least three consecutive treatments are recommended as patients will begin to see softening of their fine lines and a gradual lift to the facial tissues.
Benefits of Dermaplaning:
The ultrasonic skin scrubber utilizes vibrations to help pull debris out of your pores and gently exfoliate your skin. The resulting skin is smoother, cleaner, and ready to soak up all of those beneficial serums. Patients may also find that makeup is easier to apply. This method of exfoliation is gentler than most other options and can be an excellent alternative to chemical peels and microdermabrasion if you have sensitive skin.
Benefits of Ultrasonic Treatment:
Ultrasonic treatment utilizes sound waves to get deep into the skin and cause cellular renewal, facial muscle tightening, lymphatic draining, improved blood flow, and reduced inflammation. The heat and vibration from the treatment can cause tightening of the skin, improved oxygen supply to cells, and a more youthful appearance.
Consecutive treatments for 3-6 months are necessary to achieve a more firm and youthful appearance, as demonstrated by a Korean clinical trial.
Benefits of Oxygen Injection Therapy:
Oxygen injection therapy utilizes a wand that delivered an uninterrupted stream of oxygen deep into the tissues of your face. Benefits include increased absorption of nutrients into the skin (which adds radiance to the appearance), more even skin tone, improved blood flow to skin (which reduces fine lines and wrinkles), and improve wound healing such as acne correction.
Benefits of Light Therapy:
Red Light- Reduces inflammation in the skin and encourages collagen production.
Red light is absorbed by the mitochondria of cells, which increases production of energy for cellular use. Essentially, red light tells your skin cells to go into hyperdrive. This state of improved function helps to cause increased collagen and fibroblast synthesis, increased blood circulation, and reduced inflammation. Current clinical studies are also working to determine the benefit of red light therapy in wound healing, stretch marks, wrinkles, many common skin conditions (psoriasis, rosacea, eczema), sun damage, alopecia, and acne.
Blue Light- Treats acne and sun damage. Observed to improve mood in patients suffering depression
Blue light has been found to kill a type of bacteria that live in skin that causes acne, Propionibacterium acnes. Treatment with blue light therapy may cause the clearing of acne in many individuals, as well as improve overall texture. Current studies use blue light photodynamic therapy (light sensitizing medications and light waves) to treat precancerous and cancerous cells. Studies have also shown that blue light has a positive effect in treating seasonal depression by increasing the production of serotonin.
Green Light- Decrease dark spots and spider veins, while encouraging wound healing and easing of muscular pain.
Green light is absorbed by melanin (pigment in cells that darkens skin tone) and breaks it down. The effect is a lighter, more even skin tone. Green light also assists in the reduction of surface blood vessels such as spider veins. As well, it has also been shown to soothe many skin conditions such as rosacea and general erythema. Current studies have identified that green light has a positive correlation with muscle flexibility and the treatment of myalgia. New experimental treatment by the University of Arizona have also been observing the effects of green light and the treatment of migraines.
Pre and Post Treatment:
ONE WEEK BEFORE YOUR HYDROFACIAL
Avoid these products and/or procedures in area(s) treated:
• Electrolysis
• Waxing
• Depilatory Creams
• Laser Hair Removal
• Patients who have had medical cosmetic facial treatments or procedures (e.g. laser therapy, surgical procedures, cosmetic filler, microdermabrasion, etc) should wait until skin sensitivity completely resolves before having a Hydrofacial
• Patients who have had botulinum toxin injections should wait until full effect of their treatment is seen before receiving a hydrofacial
AFTER YOUR HYDROFACIAL
It is crucial to the health of your skin and the success of your hydrofacial that these guidelines be followed:

2. You may apply makeup immediately after procedure
